Day 5 - Duck, Park and Dinner

Today we decided to visit the CCTV building which is only 900m away from the hotel and then get some Peking duck. We all got up at about 10am for a very light breakfast of bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, juice, pastries and frozen yogurt. we didnt want to eat too much because we were having duck at 12 noon.

It was a short walk to the CCTV building as it was only 900m away from the hotel.

Workcover approved road works

We continued up the road until we found Tuanjiehu Park so we went inside for a quick look.

People were playing music and singing all over the park.

After we walked around and hired a boat for an hour we kept walking up the road until we found the restaurant we were looking for. Dadong Roast Duck.

After the brilliant brilliant roast duck we walked back to the hotel for some ice cream, fruit and drinks.

We washed down the light drinks with a few light dishes from a restaurant underneath the hotel
We headed straight back to the hotel for room service dinner, all those light meals were making us hungry.

  1. Duck looks yum. And the park is so pretty. For a country with 1.5 Billion people there is hardly anyone on the roads.
